The tool auto-generates the amount in words ('One Hundred and 50/100 Only') for legal-quality receipts. How to use Receipt Maker (Template-Based)
- Fill in the issuer info: your business name, receipt number, and contact details (address, phone, email).
- Add the payer's name and the date paid.
- Enter the amount, currency symbol, and pick a payment method (cash, transfer, card, check, etc).
- Describe what the payment was for (e.g. 'March rent', 'Consulting — 5 hours').
- Optionally add notes (e.g. 'Paid in full. Thank you!') and the signed name.
- Click Download PDF for a saved file or Print for a printable view.

- If you're paid in cash, write the bank name in Notes ('Deposited to Bank X on date Y') so you have a money trail.

What does the 'amount in words' do?▾
It converts the numeric amount into English words ('One Hundred and 50/100 Only'). This is a legal-quality convention found on most printed receipts to prevent tampering with the digit field.
Does the receipt sign itself?▾
No. The 'Signed name' field renders the typed name above the signature line as italic text — useful for a digital record, but not a legally-binding signature. For real signatures, print the receipt and sign by hand.
Can I issue multiple receipts at once?▾
No, this generates one receipt at a time. For batch receipts, fill the form and download repeatedly with different receipt numbers.
Are receipt numbers checked for uniqueness?▾
No — the tool doesn't track receipt history. You're responsible for keeping a sequential numbering system (RCPT-001, RCPT-002…) that's unique in your records.
Does it support languages other than English?▾
The form labels are English, but you can fill any field in any language. The 'amount in words' generator currently outputs English only — you'll need to clear or rewrite that line for non-English receipts.
Can I add my logo?▾
Not in this version — the receipt is text-only. To add a logo, generate the PDF, then overlay a logo image in another tool.
